Tradeperson Maintenance

Should a maintenance issue occur, Whittles has a list of approved organisations that can provide maintenance. As Whittles have vetted the following organisations and have confirmed that they carry the required insurance coverage, it is highly recommended that you engage these organisations:

  1. Air Conditioning:

Owner Maintenance

The following apartment maintenance activities are recommended:

  1. Monthly:
    1. Clean balcony doors and balcony fence.
      (Suggest sponging down the glass with warm water and then use Windex and lots of paper towels to get rid of the streaks).
  2. Quarterly:
    1. Clean bathroom and laundry exhaust vents in celling
      (Suggest using a vacuum cleaner to suck out the fluff)
    2. Clean filter in kitchen range hood
      (Ideally the activated-charcoal filter should be replaced, either way, it needs to be removed from the range hood and subsequently replaced with either a new filter or you could soak the current one in water and detergent for a couple of hours. Before reassembly, make sure that the filter is well dry.)
  3. Half-Yearly:
    1. Check hinges on cupboard doors and tighten screws if required.
    2. Check door locks and lubricate with graphite powder.
    3. Clean Air Conditioner filter. Again, a vacuum cleaner comes in handy to clean the filter.
  4. Five-Yearly:
    1. Check sealants around bath, sinks and showers (including shower doors).
    2. Check balcony for corrosion - if suspected please contact the Caretaker.
